Ms. Dashiell practices civil litigation. Since joining the firm in 1997, Amy has represented clients in complex commercial, energy and employment litigation, in both state and federal court and throughout the country. She is also board certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has extensive experience representing and advising clients in all areas of employment law, including discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour violations, compliance issues, employment and severance agreements, and covenants not to compete.

Representative Matters - Obtained summary judgment for national corporation on a breach of contract claim brought by former executives. Won a jury verdict for a national retailer in an age discrimination case in the Western District of Texas. Defended energy clients in litigation concerning various lease disputes, including claims of lease termination, trespass, failure to develop, and surface use issues. Obtained summary judgment for employers in numerous employment cases nationwide, in both federal and state court. Successfully opposed certification of a proposed nationwide class of employees alleging violations of the Fair Labor.

Bar Admissions - Admitted to State Bar of Texas in 1997; U. S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas, the Northern District of Oklahoma, the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, the Eastern District of Wisconsin, and the District of Nebraska; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Tenth Circuits.
